Angela Evelyn Bassett has been an American actor since the late 1980s. In the last decade, Angela Evelyn has worked on film and television. Her work has been recognized with several awards, among them the 16 NAACP Image Awards. Bassett was raised in Winston-Salem North Carolina, raised by her aunt in New York New York. Vance was also an actor at Yale. They married in 1997. Qualification: B.A. Graduated from Yale School of Drama School with a master's in African American studies, in the year 1980.
